The Gardner and His Boy

An allegory of grace as experienced in the life of a young boy, Iniko Yufu.

Chapter One

Mystery Abhorred

There is a mystery of life that calls to something deep
within us. Perhaps something deep within us calls to it. It's
the reason poets write, and kings lead their men in a battle
charge. Though we appear mortal on the outside with our
blood and sweat, eternity within us reaches for that from
which it came. Deep things call unto deep things, and the
deep asks much. The shallows hold little, and so require little.
